This Purchase Order can be used by a buyer and contain terms and conditions upon which it will acquire from a supplier labor and materials, in the context of a construction contract.
The face of the purchase order form usually contains the name and address of the buyer, the date of the order, the name and address of the seller, a description of the styles and quantities of the ordered goods, the price and terms of payment, the delivery date and delivery instructions, and a line for signifying acceptance. The reverse side of the order form is in the nature of a condensed contract which sets forth the remaining terms of the transaction. While these terms are similar to those that would be used in a contract drawn for a specific transaction, space limitations and a desire for simplicity frequently restrict the number of contractual provisions and require an economy of language in expressing those provisions.
